Born and raised in Bayeux, Marine had both her grandfathers involved in WW2. One was sent to a German Stalag and forced to work on farms, the second was a member of the French resistance in Upper Normandy.
They never talked about their experiences, and this is one of the reasons why Marine is so curious about WW2 and its human aspect.
She worked as a guide at the German Battery of Longues sur mer (with its genuine guns on the Atlantic Wall), the Arromanches Mulberry Harbor, and the Normandy American Cemetery where she had the privilege to escort family members to the graves of their loved ones. Now, she is doing her best to share the stories of those, Americans, British, Canadians… who came to Normandy to help liberate Europe.
